MAEDON

The genesis of an artist is no simple chronicle, and for Maeghan Donovan, now known as Maedon, this rings true. A native of gritty Baltimore and seasoned in the music scene of Philadelphia, her move to New York City in 2018 marked a turning point. Adopting the Maedon moniker, she partnered with Brooklyn/Berlin techno powerhouse Sonic Groove and its head, Adam X. Already a fan of industrial and wave music, Maedon’s fusion of these influences with tough NYC techno pushed her to new heights and earned her international recognition, further cemented by her relocation to Berlin mid-pandemic.

Two albums and a world of experience later, Maedon continues to thrive. Her well-received collaborative album with Adam X, Maedon-X, on the Tresor label showcased her raw, politically charged vocals alongside refined production skills. In 2023, Maedon launched Rant & Rave, a label reflecting her desire to forward female artists within the male-dominated techno scene. A residency at Tresor and a busy release schedule for Rant & Rave further solidify her place in the global techno landscape.
