Tapeloop Workshop Saturday 11:00 am
WIth Sascha Bachmann
The tapeloop has a revival! It was already used as an instrument by Delia Derbyshire,as well as the Beatles, right through to William Basinski. Now it’s your turn!
Sascha Bachmann is a musician from Berlin, who loves creating experimental sounds and dance beats with his solo project HAND.
In this 90 min workshop he’ll show you how to make music using the tape loop as an essential element, sharing his experiences built from years of experimenting with cassettes and reel to reel. You’ll watch him during a live session and be able to ask all questions about his techniques, compositions and way to combine the loop with other music elements. For those who’d like to get a closer insight: You’ll have the chance to record a unique loop and take it home on a cassette.
The material will be provided, but you are welcome to bring your own:
- cassettes (with screws on the corners)
- cassette recorder/ 4-track device/ cassette player/etc.
The workshop will be rounded off with a goodie bag (HAND vinyl record, a tape loop sample pack and of course your own tape loop cassette).

Workshop price 35€
